Bomb Bots are literally walking bombs that appear in a number of early Sonic the Hedgehog games. They have grey and red spherical bodies that walk slowly on two tiny legs. As soon as an enemy approaches, their fuses light up. When the fuse runs out, they explode and scatter shrapnel all around them.
