Jet Stingray is a stingray-based Reploid who appears as one of eight selectable bosses in Mega Man X4. He commanded the Repliforce's naval unit and was a dedicated soldier, loyally accompanying General in his aim to build an independent nation for Reploids. When the coup began, he attacked an underground power station in order to divert the attention of the Maverick Hunters and lured them out to open sea. His operation proved successful, but Jet would then fall in battle to X.
Abilities[]
- Flight - Jet Stingray can fly through the air as easily as he can move through the water. During the second half of his stage, he flies ahead of the player's Land Chaser and bombs them with Ground Hunters. Zero gains a new air-dash ability based on Jet's flight tech called Hienkyaku.
- Ground Hunter - Small manta-ray drones that dash across the ground towards targets and then detonate. X can copy this weapon.
- Jet Fan - Jet has a fan on one arm that can suck in foes when used underwater, drawing his opponent within striking range.
Weakness[]
Being aquatically based, Jet Stingray is susceptible to ice. The Frost Tower weapon or Zero's Hyouretsuzan technique can temporarily freeze Jet solid and interrupt his attack cycle.
