In the Archie Comics mini-series Sonic Quest, Silver Sonic appeared to be defending the Death Egg. This version was considerably larger than its video game counterpart and much stronger, almost matching Sonic's speed despite its bulk. Its armour was impervious to Sonic's attacks, but it unwittingly gave Sonic the upper hand by smashing through a wall and exposing the electrical wiring behind it. Sonic used the wiring to electrocute Silver Sonic and fry its brain circuits, rendering it inoperable. Doctor Robotnik witnessed the destruction of his creation and decided to battle Sonic himself with his Eggs-O-Skeleton battle-suit. However, Sonic found that he could operate Silver Sonic himself by piloting it manually from inside the robot's head. He and Robotnik fought each other and the doctor was defeated. When Tails activated the Death Egg's self-destruct system, he and Sonic used Silver Sonic's body to escape the doomed ship and return to Mobius.
