Wily Island is a small, skull-shaped island located somewhere in the Pacific and serves as the intro stage of Mega Man 8. The island is one of Dr. Wily's bases of operations and is crawling with his robot minions. The island may not even be naturally formed judging by the amount of metal present and even much of the plant life is mechanical.
Wily Island was compromised when the alien robot Duo fell to Earth, crash-landing on the island along with a source of Evil Energy and attracting the attention of Mega Man. After acquiring the Evil Energy, Dr. Wily abandoned the base and moved his operations to the subterranean Wily Tower.
